There are hundreds of projects, programs and non-profits in the photography sector. While you have to decide which one is best for you, there are few that give you a chance to use your skill set so poignantly as Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep. Last year's guest post from Baby Boy Christopher's mother, born still, last June pretty much says it all. Vicki Zoller, followed up with her own guest post a few days later. Throughout each of their posts, you can't help but feel the appreciation for being brought together to preserve an incredibly sad, but important and powerful moment in Baby Boy Christopher's family. This month is recruitment month for NILMDTS and they need your help and your skill set. This special video really says it all. I couldn't more proud to be an ambassador for NILMDTS, but my expertise is in marketing, not as a photographer. That's where you come in...please click on the banner above and learn how you can help NILMDTS expand their reach and help more families in such desperate need of support. I have a great interest in photography, I was Sears Portrait Studio Manager for 4 years but I don't currently have a camera. Is there any other volunteer opportunities for support to the photographer

I would be honored to help in any way that I can. We live in Minnesota. I own HME Photography (website is in progress, but I'm on facebook). My husband & I lost our son Noah to a stillborn 9 1/2 years ago at 35 weeks. I would have loved pictures like these.

Heather, my condolences on the loss of your sweet baby. Volunteering with Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep could be a beautiful way to honor your baby's memory. We need volunteers in all parts of the country. There are many ways for you to get involved if you check out our website: www.nowilaymedowntosleep.org. Hover the mouse arrow over the word "Volunteers" in our menu, and a drop down menu will appear. You can choose from the list to read descriptions, and each page has an "Complete Application" button so that you can apply today.

I'm. in Austin Texas and have been interested in NILMDTS for several months- what a beautiful organization. I'm an amateur photographer but pretty handy with a sewing machine and I make little girl dresses and bonnets.

Sadie, Thank you for your comment and interest in supporting our work! Please check out the link in the original blog post for a list of the criteria that we look for in our Affiliated Photographers. We often accept amateur photographers who have professional level skills. Otherwise, you can also look at our Community Volunteer page to learn about other ways of becoming involved: https://www.nowilaymedowntosleep.org/volunteer/community-volunteer/. ~ Tiffany Kapler - Recruitment Coordinator - NILMDTS
