Every day we're exposed to thousands of images online, on television, in magazines, books, computers and the list goes on and on. We take it for granted that somebody clicked the shutter and captured an image. What we're missing all the time are the backstories.

"Why?" is all about the backstories from some of the most respected artists in professional photography, and it's time for you to meet Dixie Dixon. She's one of the very best known fashion artists in photography today.

This is an especially fun episode of "Why?" for me, since I met Dixie at the very start of her career as a WPPI Scholarship recipient just out of school. Over the years I've followed her career and today you'll find her speaking on behalf of a number of photographic companies, one of them being X-Rite Photo & Video.
