What started as a great way to introduce you to the movers and shakers in professional photography has genuinely become a labor of love. The whole idea was to share an image and have the artist talk about why it was special - but it's grown beyond that. Each guest has shared remarkable insight into their journey as an artist, often going well beyond the photograph itself.
Chris Rainier joins me in this new episode of "Why?" We met over twenty years ago when Chris joined us on a Hasselblad University roadshow to at least four different cities in the '90s. I remember sitting and listening to each presentation inspired by his insight into the human condition of ancient cultures.
This week Chris launched his new book, Mask. Just click on the thumbnail to the right for more information at Amazon.com. And, to see more of Chris' work, click on his "Why?" image and visit his website.
Chris is our 125th featured guest on this series, and only the second one to have done a Ted Talk. His TEDx presentation, together with his backstory on the image above, will give you a good understanding of why he's an inspiration to so many people!
