For the first time since I started blogging I missed doing a post yesterday. I didn't tweet either, but it's the fault of everybody pictured above as we wrapped up one of the best summer workshops we've ever done. Even now, as Sheila and I are sitting in Ohare waiting for our flight to board, I'm still smiling over the number of new friends another "Summer School" brought into our lives.
This is just a short post today as I try and absorb, analyze and catalog all that I learned this week along with the attendees. Just saying "thanks" doesn't begin to cover all the feelings we have regarding all the new members, as well as old ones, who joined the family. I've said it dozens of times before, but the best part of this industry has nothing whatsoever to do with photography, but the friendships that come out of everyone's mutual love for the craft! What makes these programs so incredible is the spirit of the group and the way each person is determined to raise the bar in their little corner of the world and make it a better place!

This was my 2nd SCU and it was so AWESOME!! I met so many wonderful people and made a lot of new friends . . . It was bittersweet to leave yesterday . . . I wanted to get back to my honey BUT yet I wanted to stay . . . There is NO DESCRIBING the atmosphere of SCU . . . The only thing I can say is YOU have to experience it yourself!! Thanks does not begin to describe the feelings BUT I must say THANK YOU to Skip, Sheila, the Instructors and each attendee . . . It's all about the SYNERGY of friends!!!

This was my first conference experience and you have set the bar exceptionally high! Thank you Skip for taking the time to do this. For making my business as when as a photography industry a better place.

Our Partners"Why?"Check out "Why?" one of the most popular features on the SCU Blog. It's a very simple concept - one image, one artist and one short sound bite. Each artist shares what makes the image one of their most favorite. We're over 130 artists featured since the project started. Click on the link above and you can scroll through all of the episodes to date.
