In 2008 Ryan Schembri and I were co-hosts for the opening WPPI program, Young Guns. What a stellar cast of photographers this was. Early last week Ryan found this video and posted it on his Facebook page. It just wouldn't be right to pass it up today on the SCU blog. Scott Sheppard did a terrific job with a whole series of interviews that year. However, the highlight for me from the Young Guns program is still thanks to Mike Larson. He set up the self-timer on his Canon and then tossed it thirty feet in the air timing it just right to fire when it was at max height of the crowd below. It still cracks me up when I think of the way my heart stopped every time, wondering if he'd make the catch! A big thanks to Ryan for finding this old video - it's the perfect video to look back on one chapter from WPPI's past.
