Jonathan Thorpe is no stranger to SCU, and in fact, some of the most read and shared posts have been thanks to him and Tamron USA. Jonathan is the ultimate storyteller, and in this new series you'll have a chance to watch his direction to his subjects as he sets up a 1950's story in a bowling alley. Like many of the favorite images he's shared, it's all in the detail. There's nothing Jonathan overlooks when telling a story! I first met Jonathan through Tamron and have shared his Cupid shot many times, but get to know him a little better and listen to the poignant backstory behind his "Why?" image with a click on the thumbnail to the right. Meanwhile, stay tuned to "One Location, One Lesson, One Lens" with a new artist and terrific insight being shared in each new video. And, check out the other star in this video, Tamron's SP 45mm F/1.8 Di VC USD prime lens. Tamron never slows down in helping photographers raise the bar on the quality of their images and skill set. This month Tamron Tours is hitting the road and will be in New Jersey, Maryland, and Kentucky. By the end of the year, their Tech Team will have covered the United States and helped thousands of photographers in their quest to capture the ultimate image. More information is just a click away on the Tamron van!

Our Partners"Why?"Check out "Why?" one of the most popular features on the SCU Blog. It's a very simple concept - one image, one artist and one short sound bite. Each artist shares what makes the image one of their most favorite. We're over 100 artists featured since the project started. Click on the link above and you can scroll through all of the episodes to date.
