by Skip Cohen The fun of these podcasts is getting to know another artist combined with the insight they each share during the interview process. Since Chamira Young and I started this series, we've learned the key is merely keeping it casual and letting the conversation go wherever it wants to. In the initial contact with each guest, I always refer to our style as being no more complicated than if we sat down next to each other on a plane, and I asked, "So, what do you do?" Mike Peters joins us on this episode of "Beyond Technique," and shared a lot of great thoughts on how he captures so much personality in each of his subjects. Most important of all are his thoughts on treating subjects with respect - no hiding in the bushes with a long lens for Mike, he's right there, closeup and letting his subjects get to know him just as much as he wants to know them. Mike and I have gotten to know each other thanks to Panasonic. He's a LUMIX Ambassador and no stranger to SCU, where we've shared several of his past images. Check out more of Mike's work with a visit to his website. The "Beyond Technique" podcast is thanks to Platypod!
