Last October I spoke at Hasselblad's Shoot NYC event. With PPE going on just down the street, the fact that they had over 3000 people register is a testimony to their focus on great content, education and support for the industry. They've had a piece of my heart since I started there in 1987, but going back even further... When I was in the Photo Service Club in high school I used to dream about some day using a Hasselblad. Little did I know that the day would come when I'd have an entire warehouse of Hasselblad gear at my finger tips. Yeah, that's me, the geek in bottom left corner. I found this short clip on You Tube that I hadn't seen before. If you're going to be in NYC this Fall, put Shoot NYC on your calendar. It's an outstanding program loaded with great content. Just follow what's going on at Hassselblad and you'll be in the loop for the latest information on great programming and terrific products! Here's another familiar face from Shoot NYC...

+1, Skip, I bought my first Hasselblad in 1973 and owned six film cameras until going to digital SLR in 2002. Last year I got reacquainted with an H4D and it was like meeting an old friend again. It has transformed my work - I like to say that medium format doesn't make me a better photographer, but it does make my photographs better.

Wow. This blew me away! Mr. Buck was my Photo adviser and biology teacher too. I graduated in '71 while working as a photographer for the Painesville Telegraph. After graduation worked for Barbian Studios in town. Skip, you look familiar in this picture. I'm thinking you were a few years ahead of me and one of the guys who inspired me to want to be part of the darkroom crew! Great fun to know one of the Riverside crew made and stayed in the bigtime with photography
