by Skip Cohen Another year is rapidly coming to a close. This has always been my favorite time of year, and very few people get into the spirit of the holidays like me. It's simply a wonderful time, especially when you peel off that outer layer of commercialism we've all been subjected to since October! As I've gotten older, I've noticed how fast time seems to go by. Everybody says it's all part of aging, but the truth is it's more about how much we take time for granted. It's our most valuable commodity, and all of us waste a little every day. We need to do a better job of savoring time and appreciating the journey all of us are on. So, whether you're lighting the third candle tonight for Chanukah, or celebrating Christmas Eve, Sheila and I wish all of you a holiday season filled with love, peace, smiles and time to savor all the good things in your life. Sheila found this quote by St. Therese, which is non-denominational in its message, and I love it! “May today there be peace within. May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others. May you use the gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content with yourself just the way you are. Let this knowledge settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of us." So from our house to yours and my keyboard to your screen...
Happy Holidays!
