Click to listen to the new Beyond Technique podcast! Imagesby Skip Cohen When my co-host, Chamira Young, and I relaunched The Beyond Technique podcast a few months ago, we wanted to stay true to its name and talk about anything but how to capture and create stunning images. Instead, we've focused on guests who have helped with ideas to help you create a stunning career! Matthew Jordan Smith joins us in this new episode. He's no stranger to SCU or podcasts, where's he's joined us in the past. And, if there's one thing you can always count on with Matthew, he's inspirational. In the last few years, Matthew moved to Japan. While he still spends a lot of time in the US teaching, his home base is a country with entirely different customs, language, and style of doing business. Yet, as he talks about in this podcast, photography is the universal language. Put the quality of Matthew's work together with his passion for imaging and people, and you've got one of our industry's greatest Ambassadors - no matter where on the planet he's living or traveling! One of my favorite stories about relationship building is thanks to Matthew. It's about how his friendship with Aretha Franklin got started. I had to make Aretha my first choice in sharing his images in today's post. Click on any of Matthew's images below to visit his website. I grabbed a few screenshots of my favorites, but I hope you'll check out his galleries. You'll see why it's so hard to pull favorites! Images copyright Matthew Jordan Smith. Al rights reserved.
