Click to connect to ClickCon

One of the biggest challenges these days is figuring out where to spend your time and money to get the most out of education. There are a lot of great programs to choose from, but there's nothing like ClickCon. Last year was their first show in Chicago, and it was an overwhelming success as 1300+ people joined in a quest to raise the bar on their skillset.

Here's the backstory on today's post.

I'm helping the ClickCon team with some of their programming, and I'm not sure I could be more excited about the show. However, in the last few weeks, I've been incredibly busy and just missed this exclusive offer. So, first thing today, I called Sherry Hagerman and requested an extension until midnight on Friday of this week, giving me a chance to help get the word out to my readers.

Here are just a couple of things that make ClickCon such a great show:

  • The "Heart of Clickcon" is made up of volunteers – this dedicated planning group is focused on new ideas and ways to make the conference as strong as possible for everybody. It's a show designed by artists for artists.
  • Chicago is so easy to access from virtually any airport in the country, and by car, you've got easy access for people in at least six states.
  • The speaker and the topic lineup is going to be incredible and usually only available at bigger, more established shows. They're still putting together the complete platform, but if you know me, you also know I stand behind my use of the word "incredible."
  • August is a perfect time for a conference like this. There's nothing in the summer time frame to help you recharge your battery before the fall.
  • The shooting bays on last year's trade show floor were the best and most extensive I've ever seen at a boutique conference. And, this year they'll be expanding the concept.
  • The models, hairstylists, and makeup artists were the best and most cooperative I've ever worked with at a conference. ClickCon created a full day of business and marketing exclusively for them before the convention started. As a result, every model brought their A-game and was excited to participate. ClickCon is expanding this concept as well.
  • Last but not least, it's been a lot of years since anybody did a true convention fund-raiser. I love what Watts of Love is doing to help change the world and the tie-in to the conference. They'll be involved again this year.

I can't deny for a second I get especially excited about any conference when I'm a speaker, but I'm doing three unique programs this year, starting with the first-day kick-off. I'm going to be doing a full brain dump on everything you need to do over the event to get the most out of the conference, maximize use of your time, build your business and get plenty of bang for your buck!

And it all starts with taking advantage of the 1/2 off promotion going on until midnight Friday, February 21! You snooze you lose - hope you can join us.

What a kick! See you in Chicago.

Is there no way to make a recording of highlights for those of us too far away to be there.

    "Why?"

Check out "Why?" one of the most popular features on the SCU Blog. It's a very simple concept - one image, one artist and one short sound bite. Each artist shares what makes the image one of their most favorite. We're over 100 artists featured since the project started. Click on the link above and you can scroll through all of the episodes to date.
