The Tamron Theater

"All of us tend to think of Tamron as a great manufacturer of optics. Let's face it, they make GREAT glass, but there's another aspect to Tamron's incredible presence in the industry. They believe in education and support for photographers who are working professionals, aspiring pros and serious hobbyists. They're all about helping you with the quality of every image you capture, from their workshops and Tailgate Tour to tech support online, Customer Service and all of their educational material.

In the Tamron Theater we're sharing videos, podcasts, guest posts and images from some of the very best artists in the world.

Welcome to the Tamron Theater!"

This past Sunday, Tamron's Jillian Bell was one of my guests on SPTV and we talked a little about her e-book on Close-Up Photography. In fact, there's a post about it here on the SCU site, if you'd like to read more. Tamron's e-books are free downloadable pdf's and their filled with great content.

Well, it's Tamron Tuesday and the perfect time to share another one with you. There are so many of you traveling these days and always with a camera, I thought Ken Hubbard's book would be perfect to share. It's loaded with great tips, which has pretty much become Ken's trademark. He's not only an accomplished artist, but a terrific teacher and just like a few of his videos we've shared, his e-book is filled with advice to help you raise the bar on your travel and landscape photographs.

One of the things I admire about Tamron, in addition to making great glass, is their ability to always be teaching. Obviously their e-books are meant to introduce you to Tamron products, but they've done it in a way that's loaded with great material. I especially like their "which lens" demo at the end of each e-book. Just click on the book cover above for the gateway to Tamron's e-books and some outstanding educational material. There are six in the series!

While several of the images below are from Ken's Tamron e-book, Travel & Landscape, you'll find even more of his work on his website.

A lot of his images demonstrate Ken's love for travel photography, but you'll also notice incredible diversity with images captured everywhere he's been. Ken's work isn't just about travel, but his passion for photography and especially for education and all of Tamron's lenses!

Ken needs to be on your radar and so does Tamron. In 2015, Ken and the Tamron team will be back on the road with another history-making Tailgate Tour. Just click the banner below to stay on top of the schedule, soon to be announced.

In the mean time, stop by Tamron's booth at the upcoming IUSA show or WPPI in March.
