Intro by Skip Cohen

I know a lot of you are going to feel this short video from Bryan Peterson in his Adorama feature, "You Keep Shooting" is strictly for amateurs. If that's the case then why do I see so many bad detail shots, especially from weddings?  Ring shots, champagne glasses, flowers and detail shots, for example, would be so much more dramatic if the photographer just pulled back a little.

Detail shots are important at a wedding. Closeups of flowers, insects and animals help tell the story in outdoor/wildlife photography. Closeups are important images in telling the story of babies, kids and their toys, but so many of you crowd the shot, or as Bryan puts it, suffocate the image.

It's only a three minute video, thanks to Bryan and Adorama TV. Take the time to watch it. It might be the perfect reminder for you to back up a little the next time you're shooting details of just about any subject.

Check out Bryan's website for the latest in great workshops from one of the most diverse educators in imaging!

Adorama TV is packed solid with terrific content ranging from short how-to pieces to full length tutorials. Sharing concepts and techniques presented by some of the finest artists/educators in photography today, it definitely needs to be on your radar!
