With My Tamron and Then Some

One of the things I love about working with the team at Tamron USA is the way they make it a point to get to know ALL the members of the Tamron family. There are lots of companies in our industry who give you great support on the front end, but after buying their products you never hear from them again...until you need service!

Well, Tamron doesn't just build some of the finest optics in photography today, they're also out in the community supporting us all year long. Here are two great examples:

These are live programs giving you a chance to get some terrific help on raising the bar on your images and at the same time taking Tamron glass out for a test drive.

And speaking of test drives - just for the fun of it this morning I took a LUMIX GH4 with Tamron's 14-150mm lens for Micro Four Thirds out to play. Living in Florida, with great weather all year long, flowers are always in bloom, but this time of year they're especially beautiful.

We recently planted a red mandeville around our mailbox. The fun of a plant like this is being able to see all the stages of the flower on one plant. Each of these three stages are a couple of weeks apart, but at any given time the complete life-cycle of the mandeville flower is visible.

These were all handheld. With the wind blowing like it is this morning the larger flowers were much harder to photograph, but I wanted to grab a few shots to show you the quality of this lens together with the versatility that's become legendary with Panasonic's LUMIX cameras. Remember too, these are all screen shots and they're still sharp.
