You Can't Stop Time - But You Can Make the Most of It

Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear,
too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice,
but for those who love, time is eternity.

Jimmy Kimmel regularly does a routine featuring news broadcasters who can't believe it's the first of a new month, the start of a new season, or a countdown to some event...even though it there are no surprises as the date changes.

Well, here I am, and I can't believe it's October 2 and we're into the fourth quarter. It's hardly a surprise; it comes at the same time every year. However, the older you get, the faster time seems to fly by. I'm writing this and can't believe it's Friday already! Where did time go this past week?

Time is our most valuable commodity, and we all take it for granted because whatever we're tired of chasing, there's always mañana!  But for so many people, tomorrow isn't always a given. Just watch the news on any single night. To start, Mother Nature's thoroughly pissed off, and from rain to tornadoes, floods, landslides, and hurricanes it's been nonstop for months. Then you've got fires...and let's not forget the craziness of the political world. Your status quo for tomorrow is never a given!

Here's my point - not wasting time here and there is impossible. No matter what, you're going to lose a little here and there, but do your best to make the minutes count. For example, don't compromise on the quality of the finished album. Don't compromise on Customer Service. Don't compromise on staying in touch with friends and associates. The bottom line: stop taking shortcuts that prevent you from enjoying the scenery on your journey...and "scenery" is everything you pass by while doing something else.

Wishing everybody a terrific weekend ahead with time for the people you love the most.

Happy Friday!
When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the floor;
it is to enjoy each step along the way.
