Whatever Happened to Integrity?

Lou Mitchell, author of Mastering Positive Thinking, shared the quote above yesterday. He went on to add:

Regardless of our achievements or status, it is our integrity and the way we treat people that defines us. This perspective encourages us to prioritize kindness, respect, and honesty in all our relationships, understanding that these qualities are the true measures of our worth.

As I read this, all I could think about was how integrity is obsolete under the current administration, especially with the President, most of his cabinet, and the "Squeaker" of the House. You don't have to read or believe any of the fake news being tossed around by both sides - just trust your own eyes and ears.

Every day there's one more lie...the war in Iran has "ended" multiple times, yet here we are starting all over again. Gas prices are headed back up again, food and health costs continue to rise, and millions of dollars are spent on absurd vanity projects, yet we can't find the money to help reduce even the minimum consumer necessities. But we can arrest somebody for touching the reflecting pool while all the January 6th participants are free.

This is why I rarely write about anything political - it becomes a rant, and it doesn't begin to solve the problems. They were never eating cats and dogs in Ohio...but what they're doing right now is far worse...they're eating the very spirit of America!
