![]() Every day I look at hundreds of images shared on Facebook, and I'm always amazed at the diversity in the quality, subject matter and skill set of the artists. Well, yesterday morning in Facebook Wedding Photographers, Nikki Harrison shared three images and wrote: "I'm one of those "new" wedding photographers - been shooting portraits for 10 years. Here I go, I'm pretty pumped though." I immediately sent her an IM for permission to share her images and here's why. I see so many images that would be better if the artist just took a little more time before clicking the shutter. Nikki's images struck me because they're all about classic portraiture, lighting, and no compromise on quality. A theatrical fine art look isn't everybody's taste, but it does represent work that goes a step beyond the norm. She's crossed that line where photography becomes art and there's no doubt in my mind her clients loved the images. As a "new" wedding photographer it's going to be interesting watching her skill set grow as she shares her ability to also be a storyteller. If you're interested in seeing more of Nikki's work, just click on any of these images to visit her website.
