Advice for new photographers? Always remember the biggest challenge one faces is themselves. Learn to always challenge yourself, never become satisfied and always grow. Stay ethical above everything else, without ethics and honesty we simply are setting ourselves up for failure.
Do your homework!!! In a world of "fly by night" photographers who are all Sizzle and No Steak, spend your money wisely on education and workshops. Anyone can sound like a pro, but being one or teaching like one is another story! Online education is wonderful, but the best value is actually meeting people in person, shaking a hand, having a drink at the bar and getting to know people on a personal level.
SHARE SHARE SHARE with others - there simply are “no secrets" in this business. If we want to keep this business a professional one we MUST share with others, learn together, and grow together.
