Years ago I was in Death Valley for the first time. It was March, so we didn't have to worry about the heat. I had a couple of days to kill between PMA and WPPI and a good buddy, Phillip Able, suggested we head over to photograph Death Valley. I remember him insisting that we make Zabriskie Point before sunrise.
As the sun came up, I had what I'll call, for lack of a better description, a creative panic attack. I literally couldn't decide where or what to shoot first. Every few seconds, as the light changed, so did the surroundings and in every direction. The colors and shadows across the landscape created a non-stop presentation of light.
Well, looking at the image above of Ossian's I can't help but feel a little of what those two photographers above might have felt, not to mention the rest of the people on the recent Argentina Vision and Vine Tour. Then I think of the incredible benefit of having an artist along who loves to teach and helps other photographers raise the bar on their skill set.
I'm ecstatic to be getting to know Ossian, his work and his passion for imaging. Along with Ossian, Lauren Hefferon and her team are creating trips to give passionate photographers a chance to push the envelopes of travel, adventure, culture and camaraderie. For the latest in great trips and an opportunity to join Ossian and Lauren check out Travel Vision Journeys.
You'll never be disappointed.
