- You've got a deadline with images you've promised a client. They're excited to see the finished product, especially brides and grooms waiting for their album. Every day you're late, no matter how stunning the album is, takes away from the positive anticipation at seeing your work.
- How about the time it takes you to get back to a potential client? A quick response time might mean getting the job versus one of your competitors catching it sooner.
- You've got an appointment with a potential client, employer or vendor - miss the appointment and you might miss the whole opportunity.
- Let's go the other way...you're not willing to take the time you need to perfect your skill set. So, you jump the gun, launch your website and share galleries of mediocre images that do nothing but "underwhelm" your target audience.
Over and over again, no matter how you cut it, time is our most valuable commodity. Pay attention to deadlines; keep your promises to clients; get back to people quickly and don't squander what you can NEVER get back.
When a client goes with another photographer, simply because you didn't respond quick enough, no matter how you rationalize, you still lost the game. Build your reputation on exceeding everyone's expectations and turn time into your biggest asset!
