It's a trifecta with a series of three remarkable short videos. I love the way Panasonic has told the story of the new GX8, but also shared the philosophy and work of Daniel Berehulak.

"Daniel Berehulak, a world-renowned award-winning photojournalist, travelled to Cuba with new LUMIX DMC-GX8 to document an evolving culture and society going through significant social, political and economic change."

The first video gives you a chance to meet Daniel as he takes you through his impressions of his trip to Cuba and the GX8. Then, check out the 4K video he shot with the GX8, "Rhythm Revolution". Again, it's Daniel's award-winning way of telling a story. Pay attention to the way he's combined his editing skills with imaging and the interview itself.

Last on the list, meet the GX8. Panasonic keeps giving photographers more creative tools and once again shows how much they stand behind the LUMIX tagline - "Changing Photography".

Panasonic's Adventure Reel - What a kick!

7/7/2015

Take two minutes and just watch this video. Yes, it's an infomercial for a couple of Panasonic products, but technology is changing every day and this is the Spartan Race. Plus, there's a little of everything in this one with a GH4 on a drone, Panasonic's wearable A1 Point of View Adventure Cam on two participants and plenty of action as you watch the film crew work just about as hard as the runners themselves!

I've assisted on a couple of weddings, photographed a few events and a good number of spectator sports, but nothing matches the Spartan Race. The next time you think you're challenged with a tough venue to work for a wedding or event, think about the photographers covering this one. Even better, think about the editing as images from every camera were put together to make this two minute reel.

Like I said already...What a kick!

Scott Rhea, the GH4 and "Dalia's Dream"

"I chose to create Dalia's dream as a short narrative film because I liked the over all theme of pursuing a dream and it offered a broad palette for using the camera in a variety of locations. By default, my background shooting fashion always leads to color and movement."

Scott Rhea's quote above pretty much explains the short narrative film below. Technology is constantly taking us in new directions and Panasonic's tagline of "Changing Photography" couldn't be more accurate. As you watch the video pay attention to Scott's storytelling steps all along the way.

Now enjoy the behind the scenes video for "Dalia's Dream".  While the finished film is wonderful, I personally love the information Scott shares in the BTS video. Scott's comments give so much insight into shooting with the GH4 as well as working in 4K.

Follow the details in the way Bence has told the story, the music he chose and now imagine a project for a client and your ability to also pull still images off the video, like the one below, and tell an even stronger story!

Bence Máté is an award-winning wildlife photographer who needs to be on your radar. Chosen in 2010 as the youngest Wildlife Photographer of the Year to ever be featured by the BBC, his work takes us to places and things most of us would never have a chance to see. Joe Simon has been testing out the GH4 in Budapest and made this short film. It’s a mix of 4K footage, hyperlapse and time-lapse. The high speed shot of the pigeons was shot at 1080 96fps.

Read more about Joe's thoughts on the GH4 and his setup with a click on the link below.

In viewing the video, please note it's in 4K.  For you the viewer, the default resolution may be set lower. You'll need to select a higher resolution (2160) if desired. Just click on the YouTube "tool gear" and select the higher resolution.  Unless you have ultra fast internet,  the video will not play without buffering.  (Sometimes you can coax it to preload and then play it.)

Panasonic just keeps raising the bar on their products and the new GH4 is remarkable.

"
The 4K image detail captured with the new Panasonic LUMIX GH4 is impressive. If a project calls for a small form factor camera shooting in 4K, the GH4 would be a great choice." Bryan Harvey

To find out more about the GH4 and Bryan Harvey, just click the image to the left. Bryan is an amazing commercial and documentary director of photography. He puts the GH4 to a stunning test in Light of the Yucatan and you can learn more about the video watching the short "Behind the Scene" piece at the bottom.

Meet the LUMIX GX7

PictureI love the low light example from the video.
by Skip Cohen

What I love most about videos like this is the way they tell a story. In this case Panasonic's only got a couple of minutes to get you to understand the incredible technology and quality built into the GX7. But here's a great sidebar as you watch the video - pay attention to the way the story is told. How would you tell your own story in under three minutes and what would the key features you'd highlight about your business?

Meet a remarkable camera with an outstanding introductory story!
