SCU March 8 - The First Day - Thanks Resource Magazine

by Skip Cohen

Alexandra Niki from Resource Magazine was in the house!

As Adam Sherwin posted on Facebook: "A fun little video shot by Alexandra Niki at Skip Cohen University in Las Vegas on the first day of the Thrive, Don't Just Survive program. So many passionate people together in one place".
THRIVE was a great success. Thanks to the vendors, students and faculty who helped make the first live SCU event a hit. We had a great time and look forward to seeing you all in Chicago for the next THRIVE event in August. Watch this page for ticket info and sign up soon to get the best rates.

SCU March 9 - The Second Day - The Resource Magazine Perspective!

by Skip Cohen

One of the reasons I enjoy working with Resource Magazine so much, and I've been writing for them for over a year, is their dedication to simply being involved. It's one thing to send somebody out to cover an event for a magazine article - it's another thing when one of the founders and technical editor show up to cover the event themselves. Why? Because they believe in education and the entire senior management team at Resource Magazine has grown up in photography.

The Harlem Shake Hits SCU

by Skip Cohen

Up until yesterday morning I had never heard of the Harlem Shake until Chantale Perron came up to me and said, "It's time to drag you out of the 60's!" Little did I know what would come next as she produced and directed our first SCU video event! This is a prime example of what happens when you put a bunch a people in a room for two days and just talk about photography! LOL

There is a great point here though...SCU wouldn't exist without the support of so many great people in this industry and a few of them are in this video. And there's a second point...some times you need to just laugh for absolutely no reason at all and it doesn't matter whether it makes sense or not. There's no way you'll enjoy watching this as much as everybody laughed while making it, but it will give you an idea of the chuckle power SCU attendees have when they need to take a break - this definitely falls under  the category of work hard - play hard!

A big thanks to Chantale, Paul, Brooke and Everardo for pulling it all together. What a kick!
